The bed was very comfortable and the room good for an overnight stay. The reception staff were very helpful.

The bathroom could do with a good spruce up (tiles were bowing off the wall) and good clean . Although, there was plenty of hot water and a good shower unit so it was fit for purpose, just not very appealing.

was very surprised because of cost top marks the room was quiet and very clean well done

Very Little..........10.00am checkout on a Saturday morning is unreasonable to my mind

Having used this Hotel many times in the past I was very disappointed on this occasion. I booked in just before 4pm and intended a lie down prior to going out. There was some form of Building Maintenance work going on with sawing and banging. It would have been nice to have been forewarned. It took an age for hot water to come through. Towel rail in bathroom fell off wall as I lifted towel from it. Washbasin plug got stuck so couldn't use washbasin.

One Room Not Up To Scratch Needs Refurbishing

Horrible horrible horrible experience. The man at the front desk was nothing but rude. As if I was holding him up. Turns out he is the managing director in charge. What a horrid man. Room was cheap & looked cheap too. Location is far from the city centre if walking. Checkout is at 10am. Tv didnt work. Windows had bars on them which made it feel like a prison cell. No heating. Trust me, there are cheaper places near by which are so much better.

    Staff friendly

We were not able to have dinner there as they had a party.

It was relatively cheap and quite close to where I had to be the next day.

Air conditioning system outside window was a bit noisy to begin with, but then quietened down during the night. Would have been good if I didn't have to trek down to Reception to ask for an aerial cable for tv. Not good to be asked: 'Doesn't it have one?' Erm. Why did they think I was asking?

The hotel is very run down. The outside area gives the impression of a hotel in decline, and a management that is not the least bit concerned about the state of the building, or does not have the financial ability to carry out the remidial work required. If you look at the pictures on the internet the hotel loooks quite nice, but these pictures are old and the reality is vastly different. The hotel has suffered a problem with a water leak or escape of some sort in the past and there is a strong smell of damp throughout the hotel, and in many areas the ceilings are stained from water damage. The hotel is cheap but there is a reason for this. If you are traveling alone and do not mind this would be ok.

I had a very quiet room which was great as I was working odd hours. For my purpose which was somewhere to sleep this hotel met the purpose for the right price would use again. Good parking.

Quiet a basic Hotel but you get what you pay for, needs a bit of attention to decor. I had to ask for a full receipt on my departure as nothing was offered when I gave my key in, as I was only given my Visa stub on payment when booking in.

  • Group of friends

Some members of the staff were rude.we were not told of hotel polices an I felt quite scared at the reaction of a manager go my questions

The bedding was immaculately clean, sheets pressed and bed made lovely. Really hot water and the bath filled in minutes. Alex on reception tried so hard to put right all that was wrong and lacking. His presentation and manners towards all guests/staff were excellent.

Member of reception staff booking me in lacked customer service skills. Hotel decor/carpets outside main reception, dining and lounge areas was dirty and very worn.

Can't say anything positive except that it was a budget accommodation.

This is not a 3* hotel and that I can assure you. The place needs to be refurbished really. The worst thing was the breakfast! I went there at 8:00 and there was only 2 guests. There were about 8 tables unoccupied but non were usable so I had to gather peaces from this and that table. Food quality also poor (I received two peaces of toasted bread which was cold and burned) and I had to leave it without having really anything. I asked for a refund for the second day breakfast which I received with a bit of feet dragging. The one in the lift is the worse. Carpets every where has big stains. Staff didn't wash the cup properly so I had to ask to be replaced. Over all I think I will not consider this hotel given that there are many other hotels in this area and with only few pounds more one can get a better deal. Internet was not available except at the bar and that didn't seem to be working stable.

    Clean and good value

Toilet seat cracked; TV remote wouldn't work.
